21st Spring Symposium and the 2nd European Young Chemists‘ Meeting
The Spring Symposium is the annual conference of the youth organization of the German Chemical Society with national and international participants. This conference is hosted in alternation by one of the local sections of the youth organization.
The 21st FJS took place in Bremen (Germany) from 20th to 23rd of March 2019 according to the motto „The Key is Chemistry“ and was hosted by the local sections of Bremen and Oldenburg. For the first time, the 2nd European Young Chemists‘ Meeting (EYCheMe) took place together with the FJS. At the conference, around 300 young chemists in poster sessions and poster talks were given the opportunity to present their own research, to conduct scientific discourses with the invited scientists, and to promote the linking of the JCFs. The extension of the FJS with the EYCheMe has made the conference much more international than before, thus promoting international exchanges between junior chemists.
