The chemical industry is on the verge of an unprecedented and existential transformation to a climate-neutral economy. The foundation for this transformation is provided by bright minds from universities and research institutions, who are all working together towards the same goal - chemistry for a better future.

With this spirit of research in mind, the JCF Mülheim an der Ruhr is hosting the next Young Chemists Symposium Ruhr 2024 with the title "Chemistry for a Green Future". In addition to prominent scientists such as David Cole-Hamilton and Ferdi Schüth, we are looking forward to many researchers from the Ruhr Area and beyond to present their results.

This free symposium takes place on February 29 from 9am to 7pm (Registration from 8am) and will include:

  • 2 Keynote lectures
  • 4 Sessions for oral lectures
  • 2 Poster sessions
  • Workshops from industry partners
  • Many networking opportunities with scientists and industry partners
  • Lunch and coffee breaks
The Symposium will take place on the Mülheim Chemistry Campus, consisting of the MPI für Kohlenforschung and MPI for Chemical Energy Conversion.
